The Athena Multilayer Racing Head Gasket with Gas Stopper, with a thickness of 1.30 mm and a bore diameter of 87.50 mm, is specifically designed to cope with increasingly high cylinder pressures and temperatures. Athena’s multilayer gaskets are used by many car manufacturers as original equipment.

They are manufactured from high-grade shape-memory AISI 301 steel and consist of a combination of 3 to 5 inner and outer layers, capable of withstanding higher compression levels compared to standard gasket configurations. The type of steel used for the layers may vary depending on engine requirements.

These gaskets provide excellent and uniform sealing across the entire surface, compensating for any type of cylinder bore distortion. They are an optimal solution for engines with aluminium cylinder heads combined with cast iron cylinder blocks, as well as engines with aluminium cylinder heads and aluminium cylinder blocks.

Each individual layer is cut using state-of-the-art laser equipment to ensure perfect cutting quality, while the embossments are formed using an optimized stabilization process. Athena multilayer gaskets are carefully analyzed and thoroughly tested.
