Blow Off Valve Open Circuit Forge Motorsport FMDVDS3A for Citroën DS3 1.6 to 2016

This Forge Motorsport open circuit dump valve has been designed for Citroën DS3 1.6 turbo engines manufactured before 2016, which have electronic wastegate valves. It is recommended for all vehicles whose turbo pressure has been increased by ECU remapping, as well as for vehicles driven in hot climates. It is a solution to many known problems. The main problem is that the washer that holds the diaphragm in place is made of very thin plastic that cracks over time due to heat cycles and eventually fails. Unfortunately, the malfunction does not always trigger the engine warning light when the valve is held open by turbo pressure, so you may not know that you are losing power because of this. This prevents the diaphragm from sealing properly. This particular failure can also cause the valve to be destroyed when it is removed and, in extreme cases, pieces of plastic can be introduced into the turbo, causing significant damage.

The alternative offered by Forge significantly increases reliability. Their dump valve works with a piston made entirely of aluminum, replacing the standard component with a pressure/vacuum-controlled piston and maintaining the standard ECU control over the dump valve.

This turbo valve has been tested on VAG vehicles for many years. The spring is interchangeable for different turbo pressure levels, and the solenoid connects directly to the included harness connector.
