The ECUMaster Battery Isolator AS-SR M8 Rev.2 is a professional motorsport master relay designed for FIA-compliant battery isolation and engine shutdown. Engineered for harsh racing environments, the device features a fully solid-state design with no mechanical components, ensuring exceptional durability, reliability, and long service life. Despite its robust construction, the isolator weighs only 83 g.
The unit includes built-in alternator load dump protection, eliminating the need for additional external components and protecting sensitive electronic equipment from damage during emergency shutdowns.
The isolator can be controlled using two external switches or remotely via a CAN-bus message, for example from an ECUMaster PMU16 in the event of an impact or other critical situation. Configuration and diagnostics are available through CAN-bus communication, allowing the device to transmit valuable status and diagnostic information for system monitoring and troubleshooting.
To ensure safety and reliability, the device features integrated overheating and over-current protection, while a multi-color LED indicator provides clear status feedback.
The isolator is housed in a sealed anodized aluminium enclosure rated IP67, making it suitable for demanding motorsport applications.
