Forge's intercooler features a frontal area 123% larger than the standard component (BMW component no.1751761759605). Having pioneered the staged cur in 2006, Forge Motorsport are uniquely placed to produce a direct-fit intercooler that enhances the performance of the BMW 1.5 three-cylinder engine. Their tanks are cast in aluminum for ideal internal flow, developed from 3D-printed prototypes, which they created in their R&D department in Gloucester, UK.

The "bar and plate" design they used came about after months of testing different designs. This was the one that offered the best compromise between internal flow, external flow and heat transfer. Intercooler connectors are CNC-cut to ensure perfect mounting on standard hose connectors. Supplied complete with all mounting hardware This intercooler has been designed as a direct replacement for the stock one and requires no cutting or modifications
