LED Light Bar Purelux Panther S800 Gen3 Straight 78cm 324W
An extremely powerful LED light bar for demanding conditions, featuring two power modes, one of the best combination beams on the market, dual-colour position light (amber/white), and an aggressive, modern design. The measured light output reaches up to 21,991 lumens with a beam distance of 729 metres at 1 lux.
The Purelux Panther S800 Gen3 is an exceptionally powerful LED light bar that represents the absolute top of its class in terms of performance, beam pattern, and design. The lamp offers two different power modes: a moderate, road-approved mode and the PowerBoost® mode, which unleashes the full lighting potential. In PowerBoost® mode, the light delivers up to 21,991 measured lumens and a beam reach of up to 729 metres (1 lux), providing outstanding visibility in the most demanding situations. Switching between power modes is easy via a button on the housing, eliminating the need for additional wiring.
Unlike conventional solutions, no extra cables are required to change the operating mode. The lamp remembers the last selected mode, ensuring that it does not automatically start at maximum output when the vehicle is restarted.
Note: The difference between PowerBoost® mode and road mode is clearly visible. PowerBoost® mode is significantly more powerful and must not be used in normal road traffic – it is intended for off-road use only.
The beam pattern of the Panther S800 consists of a rectangular wide main beam that provides an ideal balance between width and long-range illumination. The beam opens immediately in front of the vehicle, evenly illuminating the road from edge to edge, while a brighter central hotspot projects light far ahead. Vertically, the beam is softly limited, making it particularly suitable for front mounting. Despite this limitation, there is still ample light for hilly terrain and roof-mounted installations.
The difference between curved and straight Panther models lies in the beam pattern. Both versions illuminate the road from side to side, but the curved bar offers a main beam that is approximately 50% wider and slightly more vertically restricted than the straight model. As a result, the curved version provides a wider effective illuminated area, while the straight version maximises beam distance. If maximum width is the priority, the curved model is the right choice; if slightly longer reach is preferred, the straight model is ideal. The flatter vertical beam of the curved version also makes it better suited for very low mounting positions.
In addition to its precisely engineered beam, the neutral 5000K colour temperature significantly enhances driving comfort. It improves contrast and object recognition without distorting colours and reduces eye strain. Compared to cooler tones, it performs better in rain, fog, and snow and matches perfectly with modern LED and xenon headlights.
Beyond its outstanding lighting performance, the Panther S800 Gen3 is built to withstand extreme environmental conditions. This is demonstrated by its IP69K rating, virtually unbreakable Lexa polycarbonate lens, robust aluminium housing, and a special coating that provides excellent resistance to UV radiation, corrosion, chemicals, and harsh weather. The high-quality finish gives the housing a subtle sheen, while black mounting screws and dark optics ensure a refined appearance even when the light is switched off.
