This Lower Engine mount is a complete, re-engineered full replacement, not just a simple push-in insert. Race-proven to stand up to the harshest punishment.

This MQB-platform Lower Engine Mount kit includes a billet aluminium Torque Link, as the factory pressed steel part lacks the stiffness needed. For road cars, RacingLine recommends just this Uprated Lower Engine Mount for the perfect compromise. As well as this Lower Mount, which is ideal for fast road use, RacingLine also offer the upper Engine and Transmissions mounts to make a full set of 3 Drivetrain Mounts for track/dragstrip/very high power cars. The whole engine and gearbox (the drivetrain) is located in just three places. The two upper mounts support the entire weight of the engine/gearbox, plus a third Lower Mount underneath the engine. The RacingLine Lower Engine Mount is a CNC-machined, fully engineered replacement designed to greatly decrease engine and transmission movement, together with a billet aluminium Torque Link, ensuring clean transfer of power to the track. The risk of wheel-hop under hard acceleration is almost eliminated as the whole engine and 'box assembly is firmly prevented from juddering when wheelspin occurs and through aggressive gearchanges. This adds strength to the drivetrain, helping to protect from future wear and breakages. Rather than some aftermarket 'push in' bushes which crudely fill the voids in the original factory mounts, the RacingLine mounts are a completely redesigned replacement mount assembly and torque link. Make no mistake, these uprated engine mounts are a relatively extreme modification to make to your car. Naturally, more noise from the drivetrain comes into the cabin when the Lower Engine Mount is fitted, but most keen drivers love the sense that they are more 'connected' to their car, and the gentle 'growl' that the mount conveys.
