The Coolerworx Carbon Regular Short Shifter is a chassis-mounted gear shifter designed for selected Audi B3, B4, B5, B6 and B7 models. It provides a more direct and precise shift feel compared with the factory mechanism and reduces shift throw by up to 40%, making gear changes quicker and more engaging.

Thanks to its chassis-mounted design, the shifter offers significantly improved rigidity and minimizes the unwanted play typically associated with OEM shift mechanisms. The result is a sharper, more mechanical response during every gear change.

The shifter features an adjustable gear lock-out system for Reverse, 1/2 and 5/6. Screw-type stops allow precise adjustment, while a smooth cable-operated pull-up collar releases the lock-out when required. This system helps prevent accidental gear engagement during motorsport, track use and spirited driving.

Installation is designed to be straightforward and requires little to no cutting or modification of the interior. The shifter is compatible with the original linkage as well as OEM engine and transmission mounts, making it suitable for both performance builds and road-going cars.

The construction combines 7075 aircraft-grade aluminium with a 304 stainless steel base plate, providing the rigidity, durability and reliability required for demanding motorsport applications.
