The Coolerworx Classic Pro Short Shifter for Toyota Starlet / Glanza P80 and P90 with 5-speed gearbox is a performance-oriented shifting system developed to provide shorter, more direct and more precise gear changes than the factory mechanism. It installs in the original shifter position and works with the OEM control cables.
The mechanism reduces shift throw by up to 40%, creating a sharper and more mechanical shifting feel. This improves feedback during fast gear changes and provides a more engaging driving experience for spirited road use, track driving and motorsport applications.
The PRO version features an integrated self-centering spring, which keeps the lever reliably positioned in the center even during hard braking and fast cornering. This helps maintain consistent shifting feedback and improves precision during rapid gear changes.
The shifter also includes an adjustable gear lock-out system. Screw-type stops allow precise adjustment, while a cable-operated pull-up collar releases the lock-out when required. This helps reduce the risk of accidentally selecting an incorrect gear during demanding driving.
The shifter is designed to mount in the original OEM shifter location and retain the factory cables. Some trimming of the interior is required to reinstall the center console after fitting the mechanism.
