Coolerworx Short Shifter for Toyota Corolla GR Carbon Pro Drop Green
The Coolerworx Carbon Pro Short Shifter for Toyota GR Corolla is a vehicle-specific performance shifting system developed to provide shorter, more direct and more precise gear changes than the factory mechanism. The design reduces shift throw by up to 40%, giving the driver a sharper mechanical feel and more immediate feedback during every gear change.
The GR Corolla version was developed specifically around the unique interior and trim layout of this model. Although the factory shifter mechanism shares similarities with the GR Yaris, the surrounding console design is different. Coolerworx therefore redesigned the system to create a true plug-and-play solution with no cutting or trimming required.
Development included a complete 3D scan of the GR Corolla interior, allowing the shifter geometry and surrounding components to be adapted precisely to the available space. This resulted in clean installation under the factory trim and proper fitment without permanent interior modifications.
A dedicated plastic cover was also developed to close the small gap around the lever and provide a more integrated, factory-style appearance after installation.
The mechanism is designed to deliver short and direct gear engagement with clear mechanical feedback. The reduced throw and rigid construction make gear changes faster and more precise while maintaining a clean OEM+ installation.
The main components are manufactured from 7075 aircraft-grade aluminium, while the base plate is made from 304 stainless steel. This material combination provides the rigidity, durability and reliability required for demanding road and motorsport use.
The shifter is developed in-house, CNC-machined and hand-assembled in Lithuania. The design has also been tested by racing drivers under demanding conditions.
