Simagic Wireless AirLink Module for MagicDash 4 Simracing 5 GHz

Simagic AirLink is a wireless communication module designed to work with the MagicDash 4 telemetry display and Simagic ZEUS series steering wheels. The device enables wireless data transmission between the computer and compatible components of the Simagic ecosystem, reducing the need to run additional cables to the rotating steering wheel.

AirLink uses a dedicated SIMAGIC communication system operating in the 5 GHz band. The solution has been developed to provide high bandwidth, low latency and stable data transmission while driving. The system also reduces the impact of interference from other wireless devices located near the simracing setup.

The device is configured using a Plug & Play system. Once properly connected, compatible devices can automatically establish communication without the need to manually create a network, enter a password or perform a standard pairing procedure.

AirLink works with SimPro Manager software, which allows users to monitor the communication status and signal strength. This makes it easier to correctly position the module and check the connection quality between devices.

When used with ZEUS steering wheels, the module can provide wireless communication with the MagicDash 4 display. This allows telemetry data to be displayed directly on the steering wheel without running an additional signal cable to the rotating assembly.

MagicDash 4 can display, among other things, the current gear, speed, engine RPM, lap times and other information provided by the selected simulator and configured dashboard. AirLink provides the wireless transmission required for device communication in such a setup.

The compact AirLink housing is made from a combination of ABS and PC. The module measures 91.5 × 79.5 × 72.6 mm and weighs 63.6 g. It is powered by 5 V with a maximum current consumption of 1 A.
