Fuel Rail Radium Engineering for VW 2.8L 12VV VR6

PORTS AND FITTINGS

The fuel rail ports are tapped for 8AN ORB.

• 8AN ORB Direct Mount Regulators
• 8AN ORB Fuel Pulse Dampers
• Fuel Pressure Gauge Adapters

Appropriate fittings must be selected based on the specific application. Ample space around the fuel rail port(s) is necessary for larger accessories such as fuel pressure regulators, fuel pressure gauges, and fuel pulse dampers. To verify clearance, the dimensional drawings on the product pages can be used as a reference guide.

NOTES:

1. Compatible with late model (plastic) upper and lower intake manifolds.
2. Compatible with early model (aluminum) lower intake manifold.
3. Not compatible with early model (aluminum) upper intake manifold.

FUEL RAIL

Provided are 2 different fuel rail mounts depending on the lower intake manifold.

The early model engine which uses an aluminum lower intake manifold. It requires the long fuel rail mounts included in the kit.

The late model engine which uses a polymer lower intake manifold. It requires the short fuel rail mounts included in the kit.

NOTE: with late model lower intake manifolds, a Radium Engineering fuel pulse damper can be used in the center port.

This fuel rail is compatible with the OEM late model upper intake manifold when using OEM equivalent fuel injectors.

INJECTORS

Like the OEM fuel rails, the injector bores are 14mm ID so factory injectors (or any equivalent aftermarket injector) can be used. 

The factory injector retaining clips can be reused.
